Using Cura

It is recommended that you use Cura to prepare your digital model for the 3D printers. Cura is a free “slicing” software, available for download HERE. It works on Mac, PC, and Linux. The purpose of a slicing software is to divide your model up into instructions for your specific printer to follow. These instructions are customizable, allowing you to change the settings for specific objects, even though you are printing on the same printer.

Here’s an explanation of the settings available in Cura: HERE

The following video is a tutorial on how to use Cura to prepare your model to be 3D printed. All models are different and all printers are different, so you may need to make adjustment to your specific printer and object.
